Magistrate Jill E. Hittle
Magistrate Jill E. Hittle was appointed to the bench at Eaton Municipal Court by the Honorable Judge Edmund H. Kalil in May of 2022. Magistrate Hittle is proud to be a life-long resident of Eaton, Ohio. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1999, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University in 2003. She then pursued her Juris Doctorate at the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating in 2006.
Magistrate Hittle began her legal career at the Law Firm of Earley & Earley, learning real estate law from George “Jake” Earley, until his retirement in 2009, when she began her own law practice. Magistrate Hittle still actively practices law at her firm, specializing in Real Estate Law and Estate Planning. She has also been a Guardian ad Litem since 2010, aiding numerous children in her years in this role.
In addition to practicing law, Magistrate Hittle has also served as President for the Preble County Bar Association, board member for Bar Admissions Character and Fitness Reviews, a committee member for United Way, and participates in the Home is the Foundation Landlord Tenant Committee. Magistrate Hittle is active in her church, Eaton Baptist Temple, serving as director for many of the children’s activities.
Magistrate Hittle married her husband, Jon, in 2003, and together they are raising two daughters, Emma and Izzy. They enjoy attending their daughters’ numerous events and spending time with family.
